A man is appearing in court after two police officers were assaulted in West Auckland.

The officers were conducting a traffic stop on Lincoln Rd, Henderson at about 1am yesterday morning.
One person from a car allegedly assaulted two officers, who suffered minor injuries.
Both people in the car were arrested.
A 19-year-old man is appearing in the Waitakere District Court today on charges of aggravated assault, wilful damage and unlawful interference with a motor vehicle.
