Vista sees further cinema prospects

Vista Group has finished installing its cinema management software in the world's largest cinema chain and says there is opportunity to sell additional services.

The company said Regal Entertainment's 574 theatres across 42 US states represent 20 percent of the North American market.

Vista and Regal reached agreement on installing Vista's software in February 2012.

Vista chief executive Murray Holdaway said the contract with Regal was worth multiple millions of dollars in revenue each year and there was potential to expand beyond Vista's core software.

"Obviously when you are a large cinema-operator like Regal, there is a lot of surrounding products like web-ticketing systems, mobile phone applications, call-centre corporate sales activities and essentially at the moment those have remained with their existing processes...

"So there is a great opportunity for us now to work with Regal to see what are the products we've got that can essentially add value to their operations."
