A 26-year-old man has been arrested after robbing a bank in Invercargill at knifepoint, and then handing himself in at the police station.
Officers were called to the bank in Don Street, in central Invercargill, shortly before 12.30pm today after the man entered with a knife and demanded cash.
The bank is just down the road from the police station and after the man left the premises he handed himself in a short time later, with a small quantity of cash.
The man has been charged with aggravated robbery.
