The body of a man who failed to return from a climbing trip on Banks Peninsula, has been found.

The man was reported as overdue at 8.30pm on Sunday.
Searchers set out in the Peraki area last night, but were hampered by poor weather and darkness.
Police said they found the body at 10.45am today.
The death would be referred to the coroner.
