The French Polynesian flag carrier, Air Tahiti Nui, has welcomed recognition of its head, Nelson Levy, as last year's top airline manager for the Asia Pacific region.
Mr Levi was named as top manager by the US weekly magazine Travel Agent.
Air Tahiti Nui says this allows it to become more visible in its key market which is the US.
The airline is to expand its services to 13 flights a week between Papeete and Los Angeles in April.
The magazine named as top executives for Europe and North America the head of Virgin Airlines, Sir Richard Branson, and David Neeleman of Jetblue.
