Bayern Munich has won football's UEFA Super Cup for the first time, the Champions League winners claiming it 5-4 on penalties against Europa League champions Chelsea in Prague.
It was a close-run thing for the Germans though, who had to equalise twice, first to force extra time against the 10-man London club, then to force the shootout in the last 10 seconds of extra time.
Javi Martinez equalised after Edin Hazard scored first in extra time for Chelsea, who lost midfielder Ramires late on for a dangerous tackle.
Bayern needed a late 25-yard wonder strike from French star Franck Ribery to equalise the first time, while the London club scored early on through Spanish striker Fernando Torres.
