Insurance will be tricky for overseas travel in 2022

Travel and insurance agents are sending a warning to book overseas travel for 2022 at your peril with the Omicron variant on the scene and travel insurance unlikely to provide cover for any extended stays. From mid January next year, you'll be able travel return to Australia without needing to secure a spot in MIQ on the way home. And from mid-February next year fully vaccinated Kiwi travellers returning from all countries will no longer be required to stay in MIQ. But as Ella Stewart reports, there's some things you might want to keep in mind before dusting off your passport and jumping on that plane.
