White Ferns win last one dayer against South Africa

The White Ferns have scored a consolation win in the third and final one day international against South Africa in Durban.

A century from Amelia Kerr helped New Zealand chase down their target of 210 in the 44th over to score a six wicket win.

Rain had reduced the match to 45 overs a side.

After putting the homeside into bat the White Ferns bowlers had regular success with Lea Tahuhu and Sophie Devine both picking up three wickets.

Marizanne Kapp top scored for South Africa with 72.

In reply Kerr's unbeaten 100 came off 117 balls, while Devine hit 30 and Brooke Halliday was unbeaten on 37.

South Africa won the series 2-1.

The series is a part of the Women's Championship which carrys points towards qualification for the next World Cup.

South Africa are second in the standings, while today's win moves New Zealand up two places to fifth.

The two sides now play five T20 internationals.
