Scotland winger Nikki Walker has been ruled out of the Rugby World Cup after suffering a knee injury in his country's 23-12 win over Italy.
Walker went on as a second-half replacement but the Ospreys star was stretchered off in the closing stages after .
The 29-year-old, who has won 24 Scottish caps and scored six Test tries, will return to his club for rehabilitation after injuring a medial ligament in a tackle.
Coach Andy Robinson will name his 30-strong squad tomorrow and now has seven players to cut from his preliminary lineup.
Scotland's first match is against Romania on September 10.
