How do you get an electric car in NZ?

All cars in New Zealand will need to be electric by 2050 if the government wants to reach its zero-emission target. But when you can pick up a classic 1993 Toyota Corolla for $1000 or less, or fork-out for an electric Nissan Leaf starting at $10,000 second-hand how can the wider public be convinced to buy them? Lisa Marriott who is professor of Accounting and Commercial Law at Victoria University has a few ideas. She talks to Philippa Tolley.
