A search and rescue operation is under way for a man missing from Eastbourne, Lower Hutt.
George Dominic, known as Niko, was last seen at the end of Muritai Road, near Burdan's Gate in Eastbourne at about 5.30pm.
Police and his family have concerns for his safety.
Dominic is described as a Pacific Islander in his 40s. He was last seen wearing a grey top and dark pants but police say he may no longer be wearing this.
Police were asking the public to check any CCTV or dashcam footage and to search their properties if it was safe to do.
