It will affect transmission in the lower half of the North Island, the Marlborough Sounds and the South Island East Coast down to Kaikoura.

Work on the 137m mast at Titahi Bay is to extend its life and provide protection for staff and the public until a replacement mast is built in 2018.

Maintenance is scheduled for Thursday 23 and Friday 24 of November between 9am and 5pm.

If you can't get RNZ National on 567 AM during those times, you can retune to the 101 FM frequency, which will be available as usual.

You can also listen on rnz.co.nz, on your mobile phone through the RNZ app, SKY Digital channel 421, Freeview channel 50 and iHeart radio.
