The Mount Victoria Tunnel in Wellington was closed for a while on Saturday morning due to a crash.
New Zealand Transport Agency / Waka Kotahi (NZTA) said the tunnel on State Highway 1 was closed in both directions.It has since reopened.
The three-vehicle crash was reported to emergency services about 8:45am, police said. There were no reported injuries.
NZTA advised drivers to consider alternative routes.
