Ten people in Guam face charges in what the US Attorney's Office calls one of the biggest organised crime and narcotic trafficking cases in the territory in recent years.

The Pacific Daily News reports that the ten were indicted on 26 charges, including conspiracy to distribute about 300 grams of methamphetamine, multiple counts of firearm possession and criminal enterprise.

The indictment alleges that the organisation brought methamphetamine to Guam from the Philippines and California.

The drug was allegedly traded for firearms, stolen items and cash.

The group allegedly used force, harassment and firearms to maintain control of the local methamphetamine trade.

One incident involved the alleged kidnapping and torturing of a man in October.
