Police said the 30-year-old woman was scheduled to appear in the New Plymouth District Court on Friday.

Ramsay's body was found at the South Taranaki farm he worked at, in Oaonui on 31 July.

A 39-year-old man was charged with murdering and kidnapping him, while an 18-year-old man had also been charged with murder.

Both men were granted interim name suppression when they first appeared in court, and were scheduled to reappear on 29 August.

Detective Inspector Brent Matuku said no one else was being sought in connection to the case, however police were continuing to investigate.

They still wanted to hear from anyone who saw Ramsay in the Ōakura area in the days leading up to his death.

Police earlier appealed for witnesses to an altercation they believe Ramsay was involved in, at about 5pm on Friday 29 July, in Ōakura, or for sightings of a silver 2005 Peugeot station wagon in Ōakura at that time, or near the coast that evening.

"His family deserve to understand what led to Jacob's death, and we are committed to giving them that peace of mind," Matuku said.
