A person has died after a crash on State Highway 1 north of Auckland this afternoon.
Police report one person died after the crash near Brynderwyn.
Diversions remain in place and are likely to remain so for several hours.
Southbound traffic on SH1 is being diverted through Waipu at The Braigh and northbound traffic is being diverted through Mangawhai at Kaiwaka Mangawhai Road.
The provisional holiday road toll now stands at at least 11, after two people died in a West Auckland crash overnight.
