One person has died after a crash in the Matamata-Piako district this morning, police say.
The crash occurred on Waiti Road, Tahuna, around 18km north of Morrinsville in the Matamata-Piako region just before 2am.
The scene has since been cleared and the road is now open.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
