PNG budget makes cuts in key areas

Papua New Guinea's 2017 Budget has made significant cuts to key priority areas as the government tries to rein in spending.

It comes as the country continues to struggle because of the fall in commodity prices - both liquefied natural gas and agricultural products.

Paul Barker heads the PNG Institute of National Affairs and Don Wiseman asked him how he rates the latest moves from Treasurer Patrick Pruaitch.
