V8 Supercar drivers at this weekend's Hamilton 400 have launched a public fundraising appeal for New Zealand driver Jason Richards who is suffering from cancer.
Richards returned to the track at the non-championship round in Melbourne to come second in race two.
The drivers have rallied together and launched an auction website selling a range of items donated by them.
Another New Zealand driver, Greg Murphy, says that while the drivers are all fierce competitiors on the track, off the track they are a bunch of like-minded people who really care for their own.
