Fog at Wellington Airport continues to force the cancellation of flights in and out of the capital.

Wellington International Airport said very few flights had been able to land in the past 24 hours.
Many flights have been cancelled or diverted, mainly to Palmerston North.
Many departures are also being cancelled or delayed.
A Wellington Airport spokesperson said 131 flights in and out of the capital today had been cancelled due to fog.
In total more than 150 flights have been cancelled in the past 24 hours.
Passengers should expect cancellations and delays to continue even after the fog lifts, as airlines work to clear the backlog.
MetService said the fog would lift briefly this afternoon before settling back over the airport until tomorrow afternoon.
