Ceasefire in place after bloodshed in PNG's Enga

Police in Papua New Guinea's Enga province say they are enforcing a truce between tribes who have been fighting over the recent election.

At least 20 people have been killed in fighting with high-powered weapons in and around Enga's capital, Wabag, since vote counting for the troubled Kandep Open seat began last month.

Enga's police commander, George Kakas, updated Johnny Blades about his talks with leaders of the warring tribes on Monday.
