Greenpeace says it will appeal against a High Court decision to uphold a Charities Commission decision declining Greenpeace status as a charity.
The ruling found that Greenpeace, with its history of protest, is a political organisation and that the Charities Commission made the right decision.
Greenpeace New Zealand says the decision fails to recognise that the work of charitable organisations has changed over the years.
