The Speaker of the House, Lockwood Smith, says a regime for the public disclosure of MPs' expenses will be developed as soon as possible.
The system has come under scrutiny as a result of the expenses controversy dominating the British Parliament.
Dr Smith says political parties have acknowledged there is public interest in the issue, and there is agreement to develop a disclosure regime as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the Green Party has voluntarily released details of the expenses claimed by all its MPs in the first four months of the year.
