A football friendly match between the All Whites and Honduras in Auckland on Saturday is yet to sell out, with three days to go before kick-off.
New Zealand Football needs a near-capacity crowd at North Harbour Stadium to break even in the first of the team's two fixtures against South American sides.
About a third of the 22,500 seats remain unsold, but organisers are confident of a big walk-up crowd or even selling the stadium out beforehand, pointing to similarly slow sales for All Blacks Tests at Harbour.
The second friendly match is against Paraguay on Tuesday in Wellington.
