Harris and Trump both visit key states Arizona and Nevada as election day nears
Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump are rallying in Nevada and Arizona as the presidential campaign nears its end.
In their final events today, Harris spoke in Las Vegas, Nevada at a rally featuring singer Jennifer Lopez, while Trump attended a town hall style event with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in Phoenix, Arizona.
Harris vowed to represent all Americans and work with those who disagreed with her - a reference to Trump's calling of political opponents the "enemy from within." Lopez expressed shock at Trump's Puerto Rico comments, referencing her Puerto Rican heritage.
The latest big name to endorse Harris is basketball legend LeBron James. In a post on social media, the NBA's all-time leading scorer said "the choice is clear".
With just days left before polls close in the United States presidential election, the race is expected to come down to just seven states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
"They both think they're going to win, they both think it's the end of the world if they don't," RNZ's Corin Dann says of the mood in America between Democrat and Republican supporters.
