The Southland rugby union side is on top of the Air New Zealand Cup competition after narrowly beating North Harbour 24-22 in Albany.
Harbour's debutante Ben Botica scored 22 points with a try and five penalty goals.
Harbour led 16-10 at half-time but a late charge by Southland saw them take five competition points including the bonus point for four tries, while Harbour had to make do with the losers' bonus point.
