Residents were seen evacuating from a welfare housing building in Auckland's city centre after an alarm was activated, with water coming from an apartment on the sixth level.
Emergency Services were alerted to the incident at Auckland City Mission's Homeground shortly after 2pm.
Fire Emergency remained at the scene investigating. It turned out to be a false alarm.
Homeground is a prominent building known for providing housing, health, and social services to Aucklanders in need.
