Telecom admits a security threat has compromised the accounts of some of it's Yahoo Xtra customers, just a day after it announced a security update for its email service.
A Telecom spokesperson said some customers continued to be targeted by an email "spoofing" campaign which began a few weeks ago.
However, the latest spam campaign was not specific to just Yahoo Xtra customers, spokesperson said.
Telecom on Monday announced the introduction of a new encryption setting after on-going security problems over the past 18 months.
It was forced lock the accounts of some users after tens of thousands were hacked last month.
