Everton have advanced to the English football FA Cup quarterfinals after edging Tottenham Hotspur for a thrilling 5-4 extra-time win at Goodison Park.
A 97th-minute goal from substitute Bernard put the game to bed for Everton, who continue to push for their first FA Cup triumph since 1995.
Meanwhile, Manchester City breezed past Championship side Swansea for a 3-1 win which made English football history.
The victory broke the English football record for the longest winning run in all competitions with 15 successive victories for the Manchester side.
The previous record of 14 wins in a row was held by both Preston and Arsenal.
Elsewhere, Leicester City beat Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 with a last minute goal from striker Kelechi Iheanacho and Premier League strugglers Sheffield United won 1-0 against Championship team Bristol City.
