Actor Geoffrey Hughes, known for his roles in Coronation Street and Keeping up Appearances, has died aged 68.
The actor was known to millions as the Coronation Street binman Eddie Yates in the 1970s and 1980s, the BBC reports.
Hughes also played Twiggy in the TV comedy The Royle Family and Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances.
He first appeared in 1960s shows such as Z-Cars and The Likely Lads and was the voice of Paul McCartney in Beatles film The Yellow Submarine.
Hughes died on Friday after battling prostate cancer, the BBC reports.
