A Hawkes Bay boxing club is warning its members after two teenagers were allegedly attacked last night, one of whom was hospitalised.
Napier's Shamrock Boxing Club said two of its members, aged 15 and 16 respectively, were assaulted by a group wielding knives, a machete and a patu.
In a social media post, Shamrock said their club shirts were taken in the attack, and asked parents of younger members to return merchandise for their safety.
"I will be asking all parents for our kids tshirts hoodies pants to be returned back to me so our kids are safe and this [doesn't] happen to any more of team," the post stated.
One person was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
