New Zealand driver Nick Cassidy has picked up his first win for Jaguar in the Formula E championship, powering to victory in Saudi Arabia.
Cassidy produced a measured, composed drive to climb to the top of the standings after three rounds and opening up an imposing 18-point lead.
The 29-year-old Aucklander was third in each of the first two rounds, including at the Diriyah track on Saturday, before producing an even better drive on Sunday.
Cassidy pushed at just the right time early to hit the front and stay there, amid pressure from second-placed Envision Racing driver Robin Frijns and Nissan polesitter Oliver Rowland.
Cassidy is looking to go one better than last year when he finished second overall in the series behind British champion Jake Dennis.
Fellow-New Zealander and Jaguar team-mate Mitch Evans, who was third overall last year, has made a mixed start to 2024.
Evans is fifth overall after two fifth placings and a tenth.
The fourth round is in Sao Paulo on March 16.
