Northland Police have charged four men with the kidnapping of a Kaikohe man.

The man was taken from his home about 5am yesterday and the Armed Offenders Squad was called out.
They helped in the arrest of the four men at 9.20pm and the man was returned to his family uninjured.
Police believed the man and his alleged kidnappers knew one another, but would not elaborate because the matter was now before the court.
