Incoming rugby league player Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
The rugby union and league star appeared in the Auckland District Court on Wednesday before community magistrate Lavinia Nathan.
He was disqualified from driving for six months and ordered to pay a $600 fine and $130 in court costs.
Court documents showed that last month, Tuivasa-Sheck drove on Auckland's State Highway One with more than 400mg of alcohol per litre of breath - the limit is 250mg.
Tuivasa-Sheck is rejoining the Warriors for 2024 following a stint in rugby union.
Tuivasa-Sheck is lined up to return to play with the Warriors backline in 2024, but missed out on All Blacks World Cup selection earlier this year.
A former Warriors captain, he asked for an early release from his league contract with the Warriors in 2021, to switch codes to rugby union.
He then played for the Blues for the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season, and became a double international with his debut for the All Blacks last year.
His return to league was announced in April, and Warriors chief executive Cameron George said the club had purposely left the door open for him to come back: "He's popular with the players and a real fan favourite."
