Elections are being held in Solomon Islands to choose provincial assemblies in western province and in Choiseul.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation says hundreds of people have been going to the polls since this morning.
It says a woman is among the 68 candidates contesting the 14 wards in Choiseul.
173 candidates are contesting the 26 wards in the Western Province
