ESPN are reporting that the All Whites defender Winston Reid has ended the speculation surrounding his future by agreeing a new contract with English Premier League football club West Ham United.
The 26-year-old New Zealander joined the Hammers from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2010 and has gone on to become an integral part of manager Sam Allardyce's side.
With the New Zealand international off-contract at the end of the season in June, there had been speculation that he was set to leave, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all thought to have been interested.
However, sources have told ESPN that Reid has opted against a move elsewhere and agreed a long-term contract extension at Upton Park.
Allardyce revealed this week that West Ham had made the defender "an exceptionally good offer," while chairman David Gold said on Twitter on Wednesday he was "hopeful" Reid will extend his stay at the club.
