A former Silver Fern is in a critical condition at Auckland Hospital fighting for her life.
Tania Dalton's family have confirmed today that she suffered a ruptured carotid artery aneurysm last Thursday.
Fairfax reports she collapsed suring a social game of touch rugby.
The 45-year-old was a shooter for the Silver Ferns, who first joined the team in 1996.
She was part of the 2003 netball world cup winning team.
