Is there life after Lego?

For 2022 LEGO master NZ winner Jake Roos, Lego life continues. 

Some of Aotearoa’s best brick builders are gathering at Wellington’s Brick Show at the Walter Nash Centre in Lower Hutt to display their latest creations. 

Roos will showcase his work Ultra Agents: Mount Clutchmore Showdown! It’s as dramatic as it sounds. With a play on Mr Rushmore and complete with an electronic battle, tense music and evil laughter; it’s more of a show than just a Lego set. 

When he’s not thinking of his next LEGO design, Roos is a climate change consultant. He spoke to Culture 101’s Perlina Lau about what he learnt from winning the show and life after Lego Masters.
