A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed in central Auckland overnight.

Police were called to Dundonald Street in Eden Terrace at 12.42am following reports a person had been injured.
They found the man with a single stab wound. He was taken to Auckland City Hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
Police said after speaking with the man, they can advise they are not seeking anyone else.
A scene examination will be carried out today.
