The New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko shot an improved final round two under par 69 at the latest LPGA event in New Jersey but still finished the tournament in a disappointing tie for 48th.
Ko almost missed a professional cut for the first time on Sunday, following a miserable second round four over 75.
The 17-year-old finished one under for the tournament, 15 shots behind the winner, the American Stacy Lewis.
