Carmel Sepuloni will be away from parliament until 8 July.

Her office said a health complication was identified and rectified, and that she will undertake "light duties" until her return.

As minister for Social Development and for Disability Issues her budget estimates reporting to the Finance and Expenditure Committee has been deferred.
