An MP in the autonomous Papua New Guinea region of Bougainville is delighted with the outcome of its chocolate festival in the south of the main island.
South Bougainville women's MP, Isabel Peta, was one of the organisers of what she says was the first ever chocolate festival in PNG.
Bougainville had been renowned for the quantity and quality of its cocoa before the civil war but it has struggled to rehabilitate the industry.
Ms Peta said the festival was a big success.
She said she had also started an organisation to help the cocoa farmers with improved techniques and better clones.
"Yesterday we went to have a look at the site where we will be setting up a model garden - bark wood garden - and a big nursery for clone distribution in Siwai. We will have also one in Bana. We just completed one week's training for four participants." said Ms Peta.
