Thousands have gathered at vigils in Christchurch, Queenstown and around the world to pay tribute to the victims of Friday's attacks.
In Christchurch, hundreds of students gathered at the Deans Avenue memorial.
Students, many in their school uniforms, lit candles, made paper chains and sung songs to remember the dead.
Meanwhile, at the post-Cabinet briefing held today, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said she will return to Christchurch on Wednesday, and is planning to meet with family members. She also said details of the proposed gun law changes will be revealed within 10 days of the attack.

At another media conference held this afternoon, Gun City owner David Tipple said the store sold four category-a firearms and ammunition to Brenton Tarrant, the only man charged with murder after Friday's attacks on two Christchurch mosques.
St John staff have also described their experiences to media this afternoon and ambulance officer Paul Bennett says it was the most horrific scene he has ever come across.
The attacks on Friday at Al Noor and Linwood Mosques left 50 people dead and another 50 wounded.
Tarrant, 28, has appeared in court charged with murder, police said further charges would be laid.
