There's yet to be any word on what action - if any - the government will take in response to a scathing report on the state of Middlemore Hospital.
A review into the death of a woman after she left the hospital's overcrowded emergency department without being seen has identified serious problems.
It found only half of all patients are seen within six hours, and described Middlemore as "dysfunctional, overcrowded and unsafe".
