A homicide investigation has been launched in relation to a woman's death earlier this month in south Auckland.
A 28-year-old woman was critically injured on Mckenzie Road in Māngere on 16 October, dying in hospital two days later.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and initially charged with assault on a person in a family relationship.
He will reappear in Manukau District Court 8 November, where further charges are expected.
