Kensington Palace has said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child in April next year.

The announcement confirms the baby's due date.
The duchess will make her first public appearance this week since her pregnancy was announced in September, as her extreme morning sickness has been "steadily improving", the palace said.
