The Auckland swimmer Philip Ryan has won his second medal at the 2010 Oceania Swimming Championships in Apia, in Samoa.
Ryan finished second in the 10-kilometre open water swim to follow his bronze medal in the five-kilometre event earlier in the week.
The focus moves back onto the pool for the final two days of competition.
On the second day, US-based New Zealand swimmer Nick Ferrit won a gold medal, the 21-year-old dominating the 100 metres breaststroke.
It was a hugely successful day for New Zealand, winning nine medals, including six silver and two bronze.
