American actor Charlie Sheen was assaulted with a deadly weapon by a woman at his Malibu home, police in Los Angeles have said.
The attack occurred on Wednesday about 13:00 local time, authorities said.
Paramedics were reportedly called to Sheen's home in the aftermath, but he was not taken to hospital.
Police have arrested Electra Schrock for assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed the attack on the "Two and a Half Men" actor in a statement to the BBC.
They said that Schrock was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
She was also arrested for using force likely to create great bodily injury.
