Police investigate 'suspicious' approach of Dunedin child

17:03 pm on 19 November 2018

Dunedin police are investigating a suspicious approach to a child on the way home from school in Pine Hill this afternoon.

A police spokesperson said officers received the report about 3.40pm this afternoon.

Officers were at the scene and inquiries are being made.

Parents across the city went on high alert earlier this year when four children were approached by strangers in the space of a fortnight in September.

On one occasion, a man in a vehicle approached a girl, pleading for her help to find a lost puppy. She refused.
