New Zealand olive oil producers also feeling the climate pinch

Nights heard from Italian chef Matteo D'Elia about the skyrocketing price of olive oil in the Mediterranean, and olive oil prices here in Aotearoa haven't escaped the global pressures either.

The price of Olivani extra-virgin olive oil was $1.28 per 100ml in February 2022, but it's today retailing at $1.90 per 100ml at Countdown. 

To find out how local producers are affected, Emile Donovan is joined by Colin and Nalini Baruch, olive oil producers from Martinborough.
